Debra Stein

Deb has studied dance throughout her life. As a child she was often praised for her expression and enthusiasm more than for her form. In 1996, however, she found Nia, 52 moves that rely on precision yet let her spirit soar. For the past 29 years she has danced with an amazing group of Boston Nia teachers and been blessed with wonderful mentors, fabulous friends, and a dynamic community. In 2007 she enrolled in the White belt intensive and began teaching classes around Boston. As a speech/language pathologist, she developed Nia as a tool for engaging children with autism in social interaction.
