About the Class

Come explore the dialogue between yogic practice and ancient, progressive Jewish wisdom. Move with prana (“ruach” in Hebrew) in a workshop where breath, body, and story converge.

In the ancient narrative of the exodus from Egypt, it’s said that a “mighty hand and outstretched arm” brought a mixed multitude out of collective bondage, and that a mighty wind parted the Sea of Reeds, opening into expansive possibility. Where the mighty hand of the story belongs to the Divine, here we will embody the image ourselves, using our own mighty hands and outstretched arms to free constricted breath — the same Hebrew word as “wind” and “spirit” — and awaken vitality.

An all-levels yoga practice will allow Jewish teachings to be directly embodied through mindful movement, redemptive imagery, and guided reflection, with space for discussion and connection — expanding fully into your life force.

Registrant contact information will be shared with RUACH as an organizational partner for this workshop.
