About the Class

Learn how to use your own breath and body movement to manage through your labor and delivery.

Movement as Medicine teaches couples how to use relaxation, yoga-inspired movement, and tried & true techniques to manage discomfort from the end of pregnancy through labor and pushing. Both partners will feel confident, prepared, and ready to welcome the newest addition to their family.

Marissa Farrell leads this special workshop and incorporates information and techniques gathered from her years as a childbirth educator, birth doula, yoga instructor, and advanced prenatal massage therapist. Class begins with breathing techniques for both partners and shifts into yoga-inspired movement, comfort measures for labor, and time for Q&A.

Bring your spouse, partner, or best friend, and a yoga ball to sit on (if you have one). Dress in comfortable clothes, and bring your snacks and water. Meet with other pregnant families and get ready for your next big adventure together!

Your Instructor(s)

Marissa Farrell

Marissa created and (still) instructs a unique yoga practice based on the Astanga Vinyasa, and Iyengar methods of yoga. These traditional styles are heavily influenced by her years of dance, martial arts, personal training, and massage therapy.
