About the Class
Journey through the seven chakras in this all-levels Hatha Yoga series designed to cultivate balance, self-awareness, and embodied well-being. Meeting once a week for seven consecutive weeks, this progressive series allows students to build a consistent practice while exploring one chakra, or energy center, each week—from the grounding Root Chakra (Muladhara) to the expansive Crown Chakra (Sahasrara).
Each class begins with a brief introduction to the week's chakra, exploring its philosophy, history, elemental association, and relationship to the physical and subtle body through both traditional yogic wisdom and modern perspectives on the mind-body connection. The practice then unfolds into a thoughtfully sequenced Hatha-based flow incorporating functional movement, breathwork, balancing postures, heart openers, restorative shapes, and guided relaxation.
Grounded in the classical Hatha Yoga tradition, each class emphasizes Ujjayi breath, meditation in motion, and intentional sequencing to support nervous system regulation and energetic balance. Healing sound frequencies, chakra bija mantras, and nature-inspired imagery are woven throughout the practice—inviting students to root into the earth, flow like water, ignite inner fire, open the heart, find their authentic voice, awaken intuition, and expand into spacious awareness. Elemental cues inspired by Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether, Light, and Consciousness bring each chakra's energy to life through movement, breath, and mindful attention, creating a deeply embodied experience.
Whether you're new to the chakra system or looking to deepen your practice, this series offers an accessible and intentional path toward greater grounding, vitality, confidence, compassion, authentic expression, intuition, and inner peace. Students will leave each class feeling balanced, aligned, and more deeply connected to themselves, their breath, and the world around them.
New class! This seven-week cycle begins on September 8!
