
About the Class
This class is designed to cultivate the flow of Qi (or Chi, vital energy) and enhance blood circulation through mindful movement, nuanced breath work, and guided visualizations. Through gentle, flowing movements, you’ll learn how to coordinate breaths with body's intentional movement and its internal energy (meridian) systems to boost overall health and vitality - each session helps improve mobility, ease physical discomfort, and support the body’s natural healing processes. You will learn and practice a set of traditional Chinese Qi Gong series (such as Eight Pieces of Brocade and Five Animal Frolics), and classic Tai Chi series (such as Yang-style 18 form Tai Chi Quan), and Qi Gong meditation (such as abdominal breathing and reverse breathing), and meridian based massage.

For Dr. Z Maria, Qi Gong and Tai Chi are living art forms that reconnect body, mind, and spirit. Her teaching weaves together the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Daoist and Buddhist philosophy, energy healing, with elements of Western yoga and fitness.
