
About the Class
The motto of this class is "Movement is Medicine" - the right dosage of movement has profound benefits for overall health and longevity. Taking that to heart, this class is for everyone and accessible for all ages. It is great for those experiencing pain or recovering from an injury or illness, those with physical limitations who still want to workout, those who want a well balanced workout with all the benefits of a traditional yoga class without having to get up and down from the ground multiple times, and those who have some hesitation about coming to a class because they haven't worked out in awhile. The class combines warm-ups, seated and standing postures with the support of a chair to improve flexibility, balance, strength, confidence and vitality, light weight training, healthy brain exercises, and Somatic / Restorative Yoga to release long-held tension and calm the mind.
